Americana Music Academy presents the
Second Annual Downtown Lawrence Music Crawl
Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
The Downtown Lawrence Music Crawl is an innovative project that aims to bring together diverse musical styles and generations through a series of free mini-concerts, interactive experiences, and community engagement activities. The event will sponsor a series of mini-concerts throughout downtown Lawrence along a walkable circuit for visitors to enjoy and discover new music. Each space will host different musical performances ranging from folk and roots music, to jazz, rock, indigenous music, and more.
We are seeking volunteers to help facilitate site activities, set up and tear down, and to guide audiences along the route. Volunteers will have opportunities to participate in event organization and to interact with the public in a community-affirming event that celebrates the vitality and diversity of musical life in Lawrence, Kansas. All volunteers will receive a fabulous t-shirt to wear the day of the event.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with set up beginning at 9:30 a.m. and tear down ending by 5 p.m. Volunteers will sign up for a time slot that fits their interests.
